So I had traded in Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii a couple months back and for some odd reason I really wanted to play it so I went to Gamestop to grab it and I picked up the Trilogy instead.

I had owned the other 2 games on the GCN but the odd lock on non FPS controls always turned me off fairly quickly. Im happy to say the Wii controls made the games alot more fun and easy to play. I started with Metroid Prime and within 3 days I had gotten further than I ever managed to on the Gamecube. Ill play Prime 2 next of course. In Prime 2 I never made it very far at all because they had made the game faster paced and more hectic but the controls just made it a chore to play but again on the Wii it will be a good time.

The controls are by no means perfect and I think im getting carpal tunnel but its worth it cause I love the Metroid Series and I really liked the concept of Prime, it was always the execution on that concept that turned me off.

If you have a Wii you really should check it out. I hadnt used my Wii since Tiger Woods motion plus was out and before that it had been quite a long while. Hell even when Tiger came out I played it a couple times and was let down by motion plus but this Metroid trilogy is really quite good...alright time to play!
